Large and heavy antique original CAST IRON GATE. Has a very old and extremely well crafted wrought iron addition made by the local blacksmith to extend the width in a similar style. We have had this gate as a decorative garden panel for over 40 years, and have always liked the addition as part of the gate's history, but it could easily be removed to return the gate to its original width. It was originally hung on a pivot pin in the ground and a loop hinge round the side post near the top on the left. 51.5 total width including addition.

38.25 width of cast iron part without addition. 69.5 total height to top of finial. 59 height to top horizontal rail. 1.75 thickness of side posts.

Condition is with thick weathered paint, but casting is sound underneath except for the tip of one lower scroll missing. On the wrought iron part, the bottom flat panel has partly gone but easily replaced if required. Extremely heavy, needs some helpers to move it.
